# Subject: Perseverance & Steadfastness > The steady, courageous continuation of the spiritual path through difficulty, discouragement, and the resistance of the world and the self. The discipline of pressing on in prayer, faith, and service without faltering, trusting that effort sustained over time bears fruit. Distinct from Faith & Trust (the inner posture toward God's guidance); this subject is the sustained outward perseverance itself.
